Richard Spitaletta
ACTOR. WRITER. SINGER.

Welcome, hi! If you're new here, it's nice to meet you. If you're one of my friends or family looking at my website at 2 am, this is uncomfortable.
My name is Richard and I'm a Brooklyn based actor, writer, singer and proud owner of a beautiful cat named Michelle Pfeiffer. I recently starred in the national tour of Something Rotten! as Nigel Bottom and am currently in my 2nd year of the MFA Acting Program at Brooklyn College. I also recently signed with Bret Adams Ltd. for legit representation following my graduate showcase! Check out my actor page on their website here.
This year, I originated the leading role in a queer musical rom-com in development, and my solo show "A Bunch of Taylor Swift Songs For No Reason," went up to a sold out audience at Rockwood Music Hall. My comedy short "What You Do Best" was recently selected at comedy film festivals in Austin and Portland, you can watch it here, and I'm currently developing a pilot titled "Board of Ed."
I love to play passionate, sensitive souls who fight for what they believe in and care about the world a little too much. I may know a thing or two about that myself. Maybe. This sensitive fire also lends itself well to emotionally turbulent characters who lash out at those around them out of insecurity or anxiety. Don't know anything about that.
Check out my shoutout from the New York Times!
"The performers...are fine singers and fizzy delights, with Mr. Spitaletta and Ms. Weinberger emerging as particularly skillful impersonators." - Alexis, Soloski, The New York Times: read the full review here.
